FOOD & BEVERAGE TRENDS

down-home appeal of good ole cafete- ria tots. Part of OVG’s Remixed Clas- sics menu and served at the home of the Lansing Lugnuts, this sampler offers three tot flavors: classic salted, loaded with cheese and bacon and covered in savory sauces. 6. The Ballpark Sandwich at Rio Grande Credit Union Field in Albu- querque, NM Part of OVG’s Outrageous Eats menu, this larger-than-life sandwich on a pret- zel bun is stacked up with tender sliced smoked brisket in a mustard-based sauce, topped with hot dog “bacon,” tangy pickles, chopped onions and the piece de resistance, a delicate sprinkle of beer nuts.

7. The Spartanburger at Fifth Third Park in Spartanburg, SC This locally sourced beef patty is topped with creamy, housemade pimento cheese (talk about Southern charm!), golden fried green tomatoes and a crunchy crown of onions. 8. Carolina Slaw Dog at LP Frans Sta - dium in Hickory, NC Carolina coleslaw, with its atten- tion-grabbing creamy/tangy contrast, is the showpiece in this hotdog, and it brings a nice balance to the super-sa- vory sausage.

9. Ice Cream Nachos at Rio Grande Credit Union Field in Albuquerque, NM And finally, one more from the Remixed Classics menu, these nachos are sweet as can be, with crispy wafer cookies dusted in cinnamon-sugar, drizzled with chocolate and caramel sauces and paired with soft-serv ice cream and topped off with a dollop of whipped cream and sprinkles, making this a home run of a dessert.
